What the FOLICIDINE CAPSULE is for?

Folic acid is an essential nutrient necessary for making new cells, DNA synthesis, RNA synthesis towards methylation, and prevention of changes in DNA. That’s why it is also called as “anticarcinogenic vitamin”. It is especially important in infancy and pregnancy periods through which frequent cell division and cell growth occurs.

Folic acid deficiency inhibits DNA synthesis and cell division, which mostly affects hematopoietic cells and neoplasms due to frequent cell divisions. Folate deficiency has less effect on RNA transcription and subsequent protein synthesis, because RNA can be recycled and reused. Folic acid deficiency limits cell division and therefore production of red blood cells (erythropoiesis) is prohibited and leads to megaloblastic anaemia, which is characterised by large, immature red blood cells.

Bodies of both adults and children need folic acid for production of normal red and white blood cells and prevention of anaemia.

Daily Dose and Route of Administration:

For adults aged 11 and above, 1 capsule per day, preferably with meals.
